Event: Tech Portraits: a new kind of holiday portrait
Date: Friday, December 7, 2012
Time: 7:00 to 9:30 PM

Are you tired of the same old holiday portraits? We have some fun and unique alternatives for you!

Light Painting Portraits

Get a light painting portrait of yourself, your family or a group of friends using light painting photo techniques. You will learn how to draw with light using a camera and an assortment of light sources. We encourage you to bring your own light sources and your own creative ideas. Using light as an art medium, this activity will also help you to understand the basic idea behind photographic exposures. The result……a cool downloadable tech portrait for you to share for the holidays.

Portraits in Motion

Bring photos of you, your friends and/or family to create a unique stop motion animation portrait to share via the web. Make sure to bring images that you are willing to cut out for the animation. Recommended head size 1.5 – 2 inches. Recommended head & body size 5-6 inches.
