Join local experts on Wednesday, Feb. 24 for “Energy Revolution,” a Leonardo After Hours event featuring food, facts and lively discussion about how science is changing the way we find, use and make money from energy.
The Leonardo and USTAR are co-sponsoring the event on Feb. 24 from 5:30 until 7:00 p.m. at The Italian Place, 48 Federal Ave. in Logan. The event is free and open to the public, but space is limited.

Genetic research and the future of personalized medicine are some of the topics that will be explored in the next Leonardo After Hours event, “From Helix to Healthcare.”

The Leonardo and The Salt Lake Center for Science Education will host a Legislator Family Night for Utah lawmakers on Monday, Feb. 1 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. featuring hands-on exhibits from The Leonardo’s educational outreach program, The Leo on Wheels. The event will take place in conjunction with an open house at the Salt Lake Center for Science Education, a local charter school, located at 1400 W. Goodwin Ave. (1150 N.) in Salt Lake City.

The Leonardo Hires Education Consultant

The Leonardo science-tech-art center has hired Lucinda Hanks Presley as the organization’s education consultant. Hanks will create a comprehensive strategic education plan that will emphasize the integration of disciplines, and address learning styles and delivery methods. The plan will also include specific strategies for The Leonardo’s on-wheels, online and on-site education initiatives.
