Drawing Club: Class Pairs Kids with Professional Artist
Starting Jan. 6, LAB @ The Leo will offer a 10-week drawing workshop for young people headed by our own resident artist, Jann Haworth. Jann’s work has been featured in a variety of museum and solo shows, both locally and internationally. She was also awarded a Grammy for her work on the Beatles’ Sgt. Pepper album cover.
Drawing Club workshops will give young people skills in drawing, perception, and creative expression they can use in their personal and future professional lives. Classes are limited to 20 students. Cost is $100 for all 10 sessions, and includes professional instruction and all materials. Scholarships available for low-income participants. The 12-14 year-old sessions run on Fridays from 3:30pm until 5 pm. The 8-11 year-old class will be held on Saturdays from 2pm-3:30pm. Register by calling 801.531.9800 or emailing. jhaworth@theleonardo.org. Deadline: Dec. 30.
