Decoding da Vinci Event
We are having so much fun with this event, we decided to host it for a second weekend! Join us at The Leonardo on April 22nd-23rd for Decoding da Vinci, a museum-wide SCAVENGER HUNT! Come explore the many fascinating sides to Leonardo da Vinci. This thrilling and educational scavenger hunt will take you throughout all three floors of The Leonardo.
As part of the scavenger hunt you’ll:
- Solve puzzels
- Answer riddles
- Create your very own decoder
- Decode hidden messages
- Discover hidden mysteries
- Earn rewards for your success
- And so much more
Leonardo Da Vinci was a renowned scientist, artist, engineer, and inventor. But how much do you really know about this legendary creator? Did you know that most of his art involves the “Divine Proportion”? So much so that Luca Pacioli sought Leonardo’s help in illustrating his work De Divina Proportione.
The Divine Proportion has been related to both the number Phi and the Fibonacci sequence. As you complete the scavenger hunt, you’ll learn how to calculate this number and why it is considered the most beautiful number in the world. You’ll also learn how to compute the Fibonacci sequence and create your own decoder.
This all-day, family fun event, is a chance to explore the museum and discover how much fun Leonardo da Vinci had being a creator. Other than the museum-wide scavenger hunt, there are plenty more hands-on activities and programs for everyone in the family.
This event is included with general admission pricing. If you’re a member of The Leonardo, this event is completely FREE. For information on becoming a member of Utah’s most creative museum, click here.
