March 17 @ 11:00 am - 2:00 pm
You’ve heard of thee three Rs: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle; but our favorite R is Repair!
Bring your broken appliances, electronics, bicycles, furniture or clothing that needs mending! You’ll be paired with a coach who can help you diagnose, fix or just get to know your belongings a little better. All broken items must be carried into the clinic by the participant (please, no large appliances, furniture, etc.).
Fix-It Clinics are designed to empower participants to become better stewards of their material belongings. Participants bring in a broken item that they would like to learn how to repair and get to work side-by-side with an experienced Repair Coach. Tools will be provided for use; however, participants are encouraged, but not required, to bring their own tools so they can learn how to properly use them. Participants are also encouraged to dress appropriately for working on their selected broken item (safety glasses, gloves, closed toe shoes and work-pants & shirts).
Drop in at any time. Admission is free to both the clinic and the museum for the first 40 participants with item in hand. Participants will be helped in order of when they arrive and based on when the best suited coach is available. Participants of all ages are invited! However, all youth under age 12 must be accompanied by legal guardian/parent.
