Innovation Idol At The Leonardo Museum

February 17, 2017 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

INNOVATION IDOL: February 17th

Utah is known for many things.  The greatest snow on earth.  Zion and Bryce Canyon National Parks.  And host of the Sundance Film Festival.  Utah is also the home of some of today’s cutting-edge technology and innovation.  Hundreds of new products, covering a multitude of industries, come from Utah’s boarders.  The innovators in this state are top notch and are always looking for help to get their products and ideas into the market place.

The evening of February 17th, The Leonardo is hosting INNOVATION IDOL, a one-of-a-kind event celebrating the best innovators in our local community.  Inspired by our upcoming exhibit ALIVE, we are partnering with USTAR to give away $3,000 to top innovators with concepts that “Elevate Human Performance.”   These early-stage innovators will give short “micro-pitches” in hopes of winning the funds. $1,500 will be awarded by a panel of judges, while another $1,500 will be given away by audience popular vote.  That’s right, your vote counts at this event.ustar logo[1]

Along with the pitches, attendees will get a chance to talk with successful, seasoned innovators and hear about their time “in the trenches” of innovation.  While listening to pitches, enjoy scrumptious appetizers and drinks.  Ultimately, the goal of Innovation Idol is to celebrate our local innovation community and inspire attendees to “get off the sidelines” and start innovating in their own lives.

The event runs from 6:00-8:00 p.m, with doors opening at 5:30 p.m. To kick off the evening, The Leo will be unveiling our new Innovation Department and share a bit on the exciting initiatives we’re rolling out in 2017.  We will be announcing the panelist of judges as the Innovation Idol gets closer. Don’t miss out on this unique event celebrating Utah’s innovation and the people who are helping it move forward.

Tickets to Innovation Idol are now on sale.  Bring your friends, family members or co-workers and come enjoy a night full of entertainment and fun.  Avoid the lines and pre-purchase your tickets today.

Tickets are $10.00
