Finding Fractals

A fractal is a never ending pattern that repeats itself at different scales. Fractals are found in nature, geometry, and algebra. With The Leo on Wheels' Finding Fractals exhibit, students can explore all aspects of a fractal. Using the XaoS program, students zoom in and out of 15 different fractals, exploring scale and repetition. Another interactive fractal program created by the Fractal Foundation allows students to recreate and modify fractal patterns.
