Exhibit Preview: Micro Worlds

Something familiar can look very foreign when viewed under a microscope. You may notice that big things are made up of lots of smaller things. You may even see things you never saw before or knew existed.

Micro worlds

Micro Worlds gives you the opportunity to see the world in a way you have never experienced before. With a handheld microscope you can enlarge and project an image of any object you choose on a large monitor.

Familiar objects can look very different when viewed under the microscope. Scabs become varied landscapes of colors and texture, a smooth rock transforms into a geometric labyrinth of crystals and a candy wrapper is displayed as a series of multi-colored dots. This new perspective will help you develop a deeper understanding of what things are made of and how they work.
