Night at The Leo - Museum Sleepovers

See the Leonardo like you’ve never seen it before with a Night at The Leo, an unforgettable experience for children and parents. Grab your sleeping bags and enjoy the museum's exhibits, a scavenger hunt, and special activities only available during Night at The Leo. Get an up-close and intimate look at The Leo’s unique art, science, and technology exhibits. See things in a way that can only be done at night.

Museum Sleepovers are best enjoyed by children age 7 - 14 and their parents. Ideal for individuals, school groups, church groups, scout troops, teams, and families.

Activities include:

Scavenger Hunt – A favorite activity of all children will take place throughout the museum, with prizes for everyone at the end.

Lab@Leo Activities – Children and parents will explore their own creativity in one of Salt Lake’s favorite hands-on arts & crafts labs.

Expedition After Dark – All guests will take a special tour of The Leonardo that no other guest has the chance to see, a look at the museum after dark! The tour will include all of the exhibits and more.

Hands-On in the Render exhibit – Children and parents will participate in the popular Render exhibit stations where they will learn the art of computer animation, “green screen” technology (just like you’ve seen in the Harry Potter movies), and the making of a short stop-motion animated film.

Lost in Learning – Just before bed time museum staff will lead guests through a flashlight tour of the photo exhibit Lost in Learning, followed by a discussion about the central theme of the exhibit, the golden age of global exploration five hundred years ago.
