STEMworks: Energy is the newest STEMworks program, using a set of highly interactive exhibits and activities to provide awareness and of and interest in energy principles relevant to jobs in the renewable and alternative energy industries.
STEMworks features mini-lab experiences based on biological principles used every day in real, local jobs. The program also connects visitors to job training programs at area high schools, colleges and the Utah Department of Workforce Services.
Biotechnology is the use of biological processes, organisms, or systems to improve quality of life and the planet. Some examples of biotechnology include getting organisms to produce new medicines or using stem cells to regenerate damaged body tissues.
