On Sept. 18, 2007 The Leonardo announced a new Renaissance Advisory Board. This group of high-level community and business leaders will provide expertise and connections to enhance The Leonardo’s capacity to complete its capital campaign. Click here to read the press release.
The Leonardo recently completed an overhaul of our identity system, including a new logo, colors and patterns—as well as this beautiful new website. Our new identity captures the excitement and opportunities The Leonardo will bring. Scroll right and see for yourself:
The backward “The” says several things: It is a nod to
our namesake, Leonardo da Vinci, who often wrote backwards in his notebooks.
It immediately tells people to expect something different, something new. It
gives people an immediate experience in “new ways of seeing.”
It invites you to “look again!”
The two color palettes also reflect the unique nature of The Leonardo. The first (gold, red and orange) is inspired by the Italian Renaissance, during which Leonardo da Vinci developed his theories and created is masterpieces. The second (green, blue and gray) is modern in nature and encourages visitors to apply da Vinci’s thinking today.
